The Managing Partners Academy

Concept

The Academy is an exclusive members-only society created for like-minded Managing Partners to come together at regular intervals to discuss and review the key developments and issues facing them. The intention is for you, as Managing Partners, to identify the issues of greatest importance to you and for the chair to arrange for relevant speakers to attend as appropriate. These formal 'expert' sessions will take place at the beginning of the Academy meeting, after which the focus will be steered by your own discussions of key issues.

Invitation only

Membership is exclusive and strictly by invitation only. There will be a maximum of 20 members.

Format

Membership is for a 12-month period, and during the year there will be four one-day Academy meetings, taking place every three months at our sponsors' London premises. Each day will be structured to allow for key speakers on relevant subjects to attend. However, there will also be facilitated discussions, allowing you to determine the agenda.

Each event will be chaired and facilitated by one or more members of The Legal Practice Group, and the nominated individuals will undertake these roles for the entire membership year. These roles will be undertaken in year one by Stephen Mayson and Tim Richmond. Attendance at the Academy will carry CPD hours. The first meeting will be held on 10th January 2007.

Cost

At full cost, the annual charge for membership would be £1,175. However, due to the sponsorship secured from the Royal Bank of Scotland and The College of Law we are able to offer a significantly discounted rate of only £650 (no VAT payable) per member for year one.

Applications

To apply for a place, please contact Ami Coulson on 0115 943 5305 letting her know which Legal Practice Group member, RBS Relationship Manager or College of Law contact recommended you for membership.
